Wine brings people together. And it was over a fine glass of locally grown wine on a 'first-date' in the nearby Yarra Valley that brought Harry and Sarah's love story together. They toasted their champagne flutes, agreeing, "The best wines are the ones we drink together".
That evening of 'wine' created a dream that saw Harry and Sarah sell their local properties and buy Easthill Estate, Kangaroo Ground.
Sarah, who sashayed through a career in the fast-paced fashion industry and Harry, who has an expansive footprint within the financial sector, have married their business acumen and individual skill sets superbly.
Together, Sarah and Harry are committed to making wines that enrich life and express their estate's individuality. This privately owned vineyard runs on love, laughter, and wine. Their wine is made to be shared. Shared in good times and bad, shared with smiles, laughs and sometimes tears.
With each glass, they hope you too share in their passion.

"The journey begins at Easthill estate, and ends with you."
Every aspect of our vineyard, Easthill Estate (from farming to winemaking), is done by hand.
Each intricate detail is performed with a loving commitment to the bespoke wine we produce. It makes for complete control of everything from the beginning, to the end when you have the glass of wine in your hand.
These processes are not really feasible for larger wineries, but here at Easthill Estate, our ‘hands on’ passion is at the heart of all our wines.
"Bespoke vintages built on passion and dedication and rooted in ancestry"
Fine wine starts with a deep respect to the vineyard, and this is the magical craft of Easthill Estate wines. While winemaking is both an art and a science, a vital ingredient to the fruit’s success is rooted in the past.
Approximately 20 millions years ago, massive lava eruptions from a volcano situated near Lilydale flowed westwards through Kangaroo Ground, covering selected areas with layers of basalt.
In 1995, Easthill Estate tentatively planted 10 acres of grapevines into this wonderful saddle of gently elevated, healthy, volcanic soil.
Wines grown in this nutrient-rich, basalt-based, black soil are described as having distinctly edgy profiles, everything from “bright cherry” and “red fruit” to “minerality” and “dusty earthiness.”
